Certified Nursing Assistant Course
Nurse Aide Training Program in conformance with The Georgia Department of Community Health requirements for Nurse Aide Training Program. This program provides entry-level training that prepares students to care for residents in need. This care includes ADL’s such as feeding, bathing, dressing, and toileting. This course will also educate students on infection prevention techniques, proper body mechanics, resident rights, abuse, neglect, and care of dementia and Alzheimer patients. Students who complete this course with satisfactory progress will receive a certificate of completion which affords them the ability to sit for the state exam. With successful passing of the state exam, candidates will hold a certificate as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Certified Nursing Assistants may obtain job opportunities in nursing homes, hospitals, home care, personal care homes, assisted living facilities, hospice centers, and more.
Each student is required to record his/her name and arrival time on the sign-in sheet for both clinical and theory and must make up any hours missed. This course provides 108 hours of training to prepare candidates for the state nurse aide exam. Students who complete this course with satisfactory progress will receive a certificate of completion which affords them the ability to sit for the state exam. With successful passing of the state exam, candidates will hold a certificate as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
